Berhampur: A youth was thrashed by a gang of angry villagers for allegedly stalking a girl at Mundamarai village near Dharakote in Ganjam district.
The youth, identified as Parendra Sahu of Hinjilicut, had allegedly passed some lewd comments on a girl at Mundamarai village.
Some locals caught hold of him and was later tied to an electric pole by some men while a group of women thrashed him with their sandals.
On being informed, Dharakote police rescued the youth. Though the incident had taken place five-days ago, it came to the light when somebody uploaded the video of the incident on social media and it went viral.
