Berhampur: The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized the body of a woman from a compartment of Puri-Okha Express at the Berhampur Railway Station Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sujata Swain (29) of Bangarada village near Gangapur of Bhanjanagar block in Ganjam district.
An ailing Sujata was staying with her husband Krushna Swain in Surat. When her health deteriorated, her husband admitted Sujata to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
While they were on their way to Berhampur Friday, Sujata succumbed to her illness inside the train compartment at 7 pm.
After the train arrived at Berhampur station, he took the body out of the train and was sitting outside the station.
After getting information, the GRP police reached the spot and recovered the body.
The GRP police have sent the body for post-mortem and detained her husband.
