Jharsuguda: Two workers received critical burn injuries while trying to douse flames at the Brajarajnagar-based MCL coal mines here Wednesday. The two were Susant Mahanand and Shankar Tanti. Co-workers rescued and sent them to the MCL hospital. After preliminary treatment, they were shifted to a Cuttack-based private hospital for better treatment. Sources said fire from an unknown source engulfed the coal mine. The workers who were trying to extinguish the flames got badly injured.
