Angul/Bantala, Jan 20: Forests officials nabbed three intruders from Raiguda forest range compartment inside Satkosia sanctuary here late Monday night.
Accused Zuber Khan (22) and Umer Khan (21) are both siblings and
residents of Nagla village under Kairana police limits in Sambli district of Uttar Pradesh. The third accused Yajid Khan (22) is from Tanda village under Chhapruwali police limits of Baghpat district in the same state.
A case was registered in this
connection and the trio was produced in a court. “They were suspected to
have entered the sanctuary for
poaching,” forest ranger Dilleshwar Pradhan said.
All three of them were nabbed when they were moving in two bikes in the sanctuary regions of Raiguda when forest officials, suspecting their motive, intercepted them and questioned them about moving in night inside the
sanctuary region.
They failed to give any convincing reply following which they were arrested. Forest officials suspected that the two bikes they were riding on had fake registration numbers.
