Kesinga: Energy minister Dibyasankar Mishra Thursday inaugurated street lights on a 900-metre stretch from Jagannathpada to Tel River in Kesinga block of Kalahandi district which was set up recently.
Under the programme, 334 LED street lights have been installed in the 900-metre long road.
Areas including Kesinga Omm Nagar, Tel River, Old Check Gate, Bolangir Chowk, Petrol Pump area, Boringpadar to Joloko Bridge, Konark Spinning Mill to Central Kendu Godown have been covered under the state government’s Green Field LED street lighting programme.
Apart from minister Mishra, Bhawanipatna MLA Pradipta Nayak, Kesinga SDPO S Sushree, Kesinga NAC Executive Engineer Sidharth Patnaik and others were present during the inaugural ceremony.
