Kamakhyanagar: Police Saturday took Suryakant Chhotray alias Silu, one of the accused in the murder of BJD’s Dhenkanal youth wing president Joshabant Parida, on three day remand.
Suryakant was taken into custody after his medical test at Kamakhyanagar Hospital.
Suryakant was injured in an encounter and he underwent treatment at Khordha government hospital. Police on the direction of Kamakhyanagar SDJM took him on remand Saturday, a day after he landed in jail here.
Notably, some miscreants shot Jashobant dead near Gandhi Mandir on Hospital Road March 26 . Police had earlier arrested 10 accused in this connection.
