Nabrangpur: A youth has been left battling for his life after he was stabbed with a beer bottle at a marriage function in Jharan village under Papadadandi block of this district Wednesday night.
The victim was Jaysingh Harijan. The accused were Babula Karkara and Sarat Karkara. Locals rushed the youth to the district hospital and his condition remained critical. Based on a complaint by Harijan’s family members, a case has been registered.
According to sources, two youths, Sarat and Babula, engaged in a fight with Harijan over some issue while the marriage feast progressed. The brawl took an ugly turn after the two took a beer bottle and stabbed Harijan. The two were absconding, police said.
