Bhubaneswar, Jan 20: The officials of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) and those of the state government Tuesday held discussions extensively on the standard operating procedures (SOP) for conduct of Plus II examination scheduled to commence March 2.
The meeting held at XIMB campus prepared strategy for management of the examination hubs and evaluation centres along with issues relating to conduct of the exam.
The SOP issued by the Higher Education department suggests that the question papers should be sent to all examination hubs two days prior to the date of examinations and later they may be sent to the respective examination centres between 6am and 9am on the day of the examination. After the question papers are received by the colleges, the centre superintendents will open the seals of the questions in the presence of the invigilators and observers 15 minutes before the commencement of the test.
The Plus II examination will be held in 1091 centres across the state this year. The Council has decided to place a two-tier security system and would involve police and district administration in the affairs. While it has been decided to keep question papers under CCTV surveillance, police will guard the examination hubs. The supervisors in charge of the hubs will be responsible for laxity or carelessness during the surveillance.
As a follow-up action after the meeting, new strategies will be chalked out for the smooth execution of the plan, CHSE officials said.
