Jayanarayan Mishra shifted to Delhi AIIMS

Cuttack: Former Sambalpur MLA and BJP leader Jayanarayan Mishra, who was undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, was referred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIIMS) Delhi Saturday morning after his condition started deteriorating.

Amid police protection, Mishra was taken to Delhi by train. Earlier, he was admitted to Burla-based VSS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) after he complained of chest pain while being lodged in Sohela sub-jail. Later, he was shifted to Cuttack SCBMCH as there was no improvement in his condition there.

Notably, Mishra was arrested in connection with the Banabira firing case in which three persons including Labour Minister Susant Singh’s brother sustained bullet injuries, while his driver Dileswar Singh was killed.
