Kanpur: In a bizarre incident, a woman reportedly eloped with her boyfriend just few days after her marriage in Ghatamapur Unab village here in Uttar Pradesh.
According to sources, the girl was married to a youth ten days back against her wish. She was in a love relationship with another youth of the locality.
After her honeymoon, she called her boyfriend to meet her. Later, her lover along with two of his friends came to her house and introduced themselves as the girl’s relative brothers. Unaware of their relationship, her husband and in-laws, allowed them to talk the girl for shopping.
However, the matter came to the fore after the girl did not return back home. Her husband than called his family members who confirmed that the girl was in a relationship and might have eloped with her lover.
The incident has now become the talk of the town as the girl has taken away all the gold ornaments and some cash. Police registered a case and launched a manhunt to nab the two love birds.
