Odisha: Plus-II second phase e-admission for vacant seats begins August 16; details here

Bhubaneswar: The second phase of e-admission in various courses of Plus-II will begin August 16 in online mode for academic session 2023-24, a notification released by Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha read.

Students can enrol in the admission process on the official website i.e. www.samsodisha.gov.in August 16 onwards.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates must have passed the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha or its equivalent boards.

Candidates who had applied during the first phase of e-admission session 2023-24 but were not selected in any higher secondary school (HSS), may apply again through their existing login without paying the Candidate Application Form (CAF) fee.

Key details:

For the vacant seat admission, no reservations or weightage claims will be taken into account.

The only acceptable method of payment for the CAF fee is online.

Candidates chosen in the first selection of second phase are not eligible for the online spot selection.

All applicants who were not selected will have the opportunity to change the options they provided in CAF during second phase prior to spot selection.

Students who have already enrolled in a higher secondary school (HSS) but were chosen for enrolment in another higher secondary school during second phase are advised to bring their College Leaving Certificates (CLCs) from the previous institution in person.

Important dates for second phase and spot admission: 

Last date of applying online CAF: August 28, 2023 (11:55 PM)

Selection merit list publication: September 4, 2023 (11.30 am)

Reporting of selected candidates at the Selected HSS for admission: September 05, 2023 (09:00 AM)

Last date of reporting of selected candidates at the selected HSS for admission: September 07, 2023 (05.00 PM)

Choice locking facility for non-selected applicants to modify the HSS options provided in CAF during second phase can be accessed through respective student’s login: September 9, 2023

Last date for the non-selected applicants to modify the options provided in CAF during second phase: September 10, 2023

Publication of the online spot selection merit and waiting list: September 12, 2023 (11:30 AM)

Reporting and admission of candidates (merit list only) for online spot admission in the respective higher secondary school: September 13, 2023 to September 14, 2023 (04:00 PM)
