Rudrabhishek of Somnath Jyotirlinga held at Dhenkanal palace

Dhenkanal: The Rudrabhishek of Lord Somnath Jyotirlinga was performed at the Dhenkanal Palace Monday evening. As advised by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the ceremony was organized in Odisha for the first time at the palace, replicating the ritual of the revered Somnath temple in Gujarat.

According to Crown Prince Amarjyoti Singhdeo, a similar event will next be held in Puri. Priests from the Department of Vedic Science, Sri Sri Vishva Vidyalaya, Naraaj, conducted the sacred rituals. A large number of devotees gathered to witness the darshan of the Jyotirlinga, filling the palace grounds with chants and creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

Among those present were former Union Minister Raja Kamakhya Prasad Singhdeo, Rani Savitri Devi, retired Air Force officer B.S. Singhdeo, Crown Prince Amarjyoti Singhdeo, Crown Princess Mrinal Kumari, Municipality Chairperson Jayanti Patra, and former minister Naveen Chandra Narayan Das.

Dhenkanal Collector Ashish Ishwar Patil, SP Abhinav Sonkar, DFO Sumit Kumar Kar, social worker Gangadhar Samal, and retired administrative officer Tapan Kumar Satapathy also attended the event. Trainers and members of the Art of Living Dhenkanal chapter participated in the ceremony.
