Cuttack: Chauliaganj police busted a sex racket operating from a rented house in Bidyadharpur area in Cuttack city Saturday night. The cops rescued the woman, arrested a man and detained the owner of the house.
According to the police, while the customer is said to be 42 years old, the rescued woman is around 24 years old. The house owner is 48 years old. They were found in a compromising position.
According to a source, local residents had been sensing something fishy operating from the house. It was only Saturday that it was confirmed that a sex racket was operating from the house after locals passed the tip-off to the Chauliaganj police.
Taking the tip-off seriously, a police team conducted a raid on the described house and nabbed the customer who was found in a compromising state with the woman.
Registering a case, the police have launched an investigation to find out if any kingpin was behind running the sex racket.
