Mumbai: It seems that actor Shamita Shetty’s tryst with love is finally over. Rumour mills were doing the rounds about the break up between Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat. It seems that the rumour has turned out to be true. In an Instagram post Tuesday Shamita Shetty said that she and Raqesh Bapat ‘are no longer together’.
Shamita and Raqesh had met on the sets of Bigg Boss last year. They fell in love and entered into a relationship after coming close during their stint on the reality show.
In spite of the break up, Shamita and Raqesh will soon be seen in a music video which they had shot in May. Shamita took to Instagram Stories to clear the air about their relationship. “I think it’s important to make this clear. Raqesh and I are no longer together and have not been for a while, but this music video is for all the beautiful fans who have given us so much love n support,” she said in a note.
Shamita also urged her fans to be positive and give them the same love as they have till now. “Do continue to shower us with your love as individuals too. Here’s to positivity and newer horizons. Love and gratitude to you all,” she said ending her note.

Since the relationship and bond they shared was evident on the Bigg Boss show, fans had appreciated the two. They continued dating even after the reality show was over. In March, Shamita had even travelled to Pune to meet Raqesh’s family there. But then some relationships are decided by destiny and not just by human bonding.
In May, Shamita had spoken about the pressure of being in a relationship that’s always in the spotlight. “It’s very tough when the spotlight is continuously on you. The attention is tough to hand,” Shamita had said. Ultimately it seemed that the pressure of the relationship got to both of them.
