Berhampur: Three members of a family were found dead Wednesday at Palia village in Chhatrapur locality of Ganjam district.
The deceased have been identified as husband Brundaban Nayak, his wife Urmila Nayak and his daughter Sunita Nayak.
Local residents spotted the bodies of Urmila and Sunita lying in a pool of blood near the house while Brundaban was found hanging inside the house.
On being informed, police officials reached the spot with a forensic team and started an investigation into the matter.
Though the exact reason behind the deaths is yet to be ascertained, it has been suspected that Brundabam killed his wife and daughter, and later committed suicide by hanging himself.
