Odisha’s Seema Meher wins 3rd prize at National Saras Fair 2025

Bhubaneswar/Sambalpur: Seema Meher, a member of Maa Gajalaxmi Self-Help Group from Sambalpur district, won third prize in the Handloom Stall category at the National Saras Fair 2025 in New Delhi.

Congratulating her on the national-level achievement, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida extended best wishes via social media to Seema Meher, the Maa Gajalaxmi Self-Help Group members, and officials of the Mission Shakti department, Odisha Livelihood Mission, Handloom & Textile department, and Sambalpur district administration.

The National Saras Fair 2025 was held in New Delhi from September 5 to 22. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha Livelihood Mission and the Mission Shakti department showcased seven stalls—three in Handloom, one Pattachitra, one Sabai Products, one Packaged Food Products, and one Live Food stall.

During the fair, self-help groups sold a total of 4,860 products, generating business worth over Rs 15 lakh.
