Bhubaneswar: The body of a youth who reportedly jumped into Bindusagar lake near Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar Saturday night was recovered from the lake Sunday morning.
Fire services personnel fished out the body.
The deceased has been identified as Saishree Jyoti Prakash from Samantarapur area in the city. The police have seized the deceased’s scooter and sandals. The body was sent to Capital Hospital for postmortem, it was learnt.
Saishree had left his home for tuition Saturday evening and did not return. Family sources said, he had talked to his mother over mobile phone for the last time at 9:45 pm. And it is said that he was last seen near the Bindusagar lake around the same time. While a search operation started last night, the body was recovered this morning.
Saishree also posted a suicide note on his Instagram page. However, the police are yet to recover his mobile phone.
The exact reason why Saishree took to the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
