Berhampur: Ganjam excise and intelligence department jointly nabbed two drug peddlers from Berhampur railway station Tuesday.
The accused were identified as Naresh Dalai and Rakesh Swain of Kabisuryanagar block.
They were allegedly carrying about 156 grams of brown sugar from Bhadrak by a train, said intelligence department DSP Srutikanta Rout.
Both Naresh and Rakesh were travelling from Bhadrak with brown sugar to allegedly sell it in Kabisuryanagar.

After reaching Berhampur, they tried to flee on a motorcycle (OD32L4250) parked near Berhampur railway station.
Acting on a tip-off from the excise department, a police team led by DSP Srutikanta Rout intercepted the duo while on the way to Kabisuryanagar, informed Rout.
Notably, the duo admitted that they had smuggled illicit materials on several instances previously.
The intelligence department officials said that the seized materials, along with the motorcycle, amounted to approximately Rs 18 lakhs.
The peddlers have been forwarded to the court, and further investigation is underway, informed Rout.
