LinkedIn profiles are often used to showcase career milestones and professional achievements. But one Noida man has taken a refreshingly different approach, going viral for listing his current role as simply “Assistant to my wife.”

The profile belongs to Anil Baveja, an automobile industry veteran who spent more than 16 years with Honda Cars India, eventually rising to Operating Head – Marketing & Strategy. He later served as a general manager at another company before, as his profile jokingly notes, taking up his new assignment in August 2023.

Instead of choosing the usual post-retirement titles such as “consultant” or “advisor,” Baveja opted for a playful line that quickly caught the internet’s attention. A screenshot of his profile, shared on Reddit, sparked a flood of amused reactions.

Many users admired his honesty and wit, calling him “a legend” and “the sanest man” on the platform. Others related to his description, with one commenter writing that their husband also held the same role, albeit with “awkward performance reviews.” Some even described it as an aspirational choice, saying they, too, dream of becoming stay-at-home husbands.

Baveja’s lighthearted update has not only entertained thousands but also reminded many that professional titles don’t always need to be taken too seriously.
