Bhubaneswar: The Tourism department has recorded a promotional video on the tourist spots of western Odisha to attract visitors to these sites.
The video has views of several tourist spots and heritage sites of Sambalpur, Bargarh and Bolangir districts. It was recently released on the Facebook page of Odisha Tourism.
The Tourism department had earlier made several broadcast commercials on the attractive sites of coastal Odisha and the Bhubaneswar-Puri-Konark circuit to promote the sector.
The promotional video on western Odisha has presented beautiful views of several rivers, springs, waterfalls and temples of the region. The video, recorded by Digital Sketch Films, has showcased the Hirakud dam, Gandhi Minar, Zero Point, the leaning temple of Huma, the 64 Yogini temple of Ranipur Jharial, the famous Harishankar temple of Bolangir and the Science Museum at Burla to attract tourists to western Odisha.
“The video has been recorded on the theme ‘Dream to Reality’. It is the first video of a broadcast commercial series on western Odisha. We will prepare more such videos in future,” said a Tourism department official.
It is learnt that the Tourism department has planned to showcase the recently launched video in advertisements in national and international television channels.
“After promoting tourist spots in the Bhubaneswar-Puri-Konark circuit, we have started focusing on attractive sites of western Odisha in a big way. We hope the region will see a rise in visitors’ footfall with the new initiative,” said a source in the Tourism department.
